I guess I should do an update.. it's been a while.

I'm 20! Yay! It was a really good day :) Morning practice, and then went to Transformers later that night with some of the Royalaires! I was so excited because the sequel to my favorite movie came out on my birthday. How perfect.

The week after that, my team went to drill camp, and we did awesome! Performance Night Champions for the 2nd year in a row! Thanks to Gev's awesome choreography! We got a few other awards like best turn technique, and espirit de corps. Basically they rock! They worked their little butts off, and learned a total of 3 performance routines, and 3 other combinations just for fun. Thanks BDT!

4th of July... oh my gosh. I went to Stadium of Fire! It was so much fun! The Jonas Brothers were there, and really I'm not even a fan. But you better believe that I made a Jonas shirt, and bought a Jonas Brothers bag, and I screamed my head off when they came out! I didn't even know most of the songs, but it was so much fun! The fireworks show was amazing, and it was raining ashes afterwards because of how many there were!

That's pretty much it. I've been trying to get a second job, but it's so hard to find one these days! Oh, SYTYCD has been amazing this season! I'm rooting for Jason and Jeanine! I love Kayla and Evan too! And Phillip was the best :( I can't believe they let him go. I hope to meet all of them one day! I can't think of anything else to say! Life is pretty good!

Yeah... I'm kinda excited!! Can you see why? I love Jacob and the Wolf pack! I've had enough of those Vampires... :)

Could November 20th come sooner, please?

Favorite Dancer :)

Well, it's pretty obvious by now that I'm a huge fan of Gev from So you think you can Dance... And I got to meet him again... 2 more times! I'm crushin... big time! Probably shouldn't have shared that, but I don't care! He is amazing! Here is the pic of us together :)

I look like crap kinda... Oh well! This was totally worth it!

It's been a while since my last post, so I figured I should probably do an update! Things have been pretty good lately, I'm just so sick of the random snowing! Anyways.. just recently, the Royalaires had try-outs for the 09-10 team. We ended up taking 17! They will be a really strong team, and I'm so excited! We're also moving up to 5a next year in Region 1, and will be competing against my old high school, Davis! Bring it on! Haha.. This years Night to Remember will be on May 7 from 6:30-8:30 in the main gym, so please come and support them! They've worked so hard.

Back at the beginning of march, me and my older sister, Carli, were called by this couple who wanted to do a fun and different "first dance" for their wedding. Carli's photographer for her wedding had actually referred them to us. It was so much fun! They had an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, and it was awesome. I think everyone there was surprised when they busted out dancing instead of the traditional slow dancing. They started out with Hey Jude by the Beatles, and about 30 seconds in, it cut straight into Twist and Shout. Seriously, the funniest thing ever! Carli and I had so much fun with it that we're actually trying to get more couples to do it. If we get enough people interested, we're going to make it into a small business.. at least that's the plan! We don't really have a name yet, so we're open to any ideas! Terra, the photographer, took some pictures of us together, to help get us going. And when she gets the video of Hannah and Ryan at their wedding, I'll definately try to post it!

Cute pictures huh? Terra is awesome! I already told her that whenever it is that I get married.. she is doing my pictures! She is just really original and fun to work with. If you know of anyone who wants to do a fun wedding dance, let me know! :)

Guess who....

Guess who I got to see dance for the 3rd time in person....? Gev! haha, but I didn't get a picture this time. Dang it! He performed at the Miss Drill Team Utah Pageant, and Thayne was there as well. He was supposed to dance too, but the competition went til like 12am, so I think by that time everyone just wanted to go home. On March 7th I get to meet Gev again because I'm going to a convention where he will be teaching along with Twitch and Katee! I'm way excited! I haven't danced in a while, so hopefully I don't suck! :)

Well, about the Pageant. One of my best friends, Janessa, did awesome and definately deserved to be in the top 5 royalty... but surprisingly wasn't. Gotta love those judges! Oh well. Oh!! And also, they did this tribute to the previous competition director, and had a video of the past contestants... and my Mom was in it! It was awesome! Back in 1983, she was 2nd runner up in the pageant. She was also in the Miss Drill Team USA Pageant, and got 3rd runner up the same year! Funny little story.. at the USA pageant, John Stamos.. you know, uncle Jesse from full house, handed out the awards to the top 5, and kissed all of them. So, my mom loves telling people that she got to kiss him. :)

Hmmm.. That's about all for now!

Just an update..

In less than 5 months, I'll be 20! I know that doesn't seem like a big deal, but to me it's really crazy. I don't even know why I'm getting excited about it so early.. anyways..

Region was interesting, to say the least. The Royalaires definately got screwed over. And I'm not just saying that because I coach them. It's so frustrating! About 80% of the judges here don't know what they're talking about, and shouldn't even be judging. I'm glad that a sloppy routine with no change of pace seems to beat out a clean and far more difficult routine! Just venting.. But their performance was so amazing! I should be positive because we made it to state.. This friday, UVU @ 11am. Come support them! They've worked SO hard.

Haha, well, you know I have no life outside of drill when I can't come up with anything else to talk about. But there really hasn't been anything else. I'm not going to school this semester, and I need another job outside of drill. If anybody finds a job opening (one that has nothing to do with food), let me know!

Well, I think that's it for now! Pretty exciting post!

Meeting Gev.. Part II :)

So... Gev can dance!!
I wish this picture could go bigger without getting fuzzy... but seriously, he is sooo good and way nice! He danced tonight at the Falcon Classic solo competition, and this is my second time seeing him dance in person... I'm speechless! Haha, and also... he hugged me, after I asked him to of course, but still! First time I met him, I only got the autograph, so things are moving forward nicely! I'll post the video later, if I figure out how to.
I still can't get over it.. :)
